Howdy BCS!

I am calling on all residents to please help me find my cat. He is a grey tabby with green eyes. He has a lighter underbelly and a really fluffy tail. He had a maroon collar with a gold and a black tag. His name is Spaz, but answers to kitty, fat, and chew as well.

He was last seen in the Wolf Pen Creek Park area, but he's been out and about for about 2 days now and could be just about anywhere.

I've checked the animal shelter (and will continue to do so every day), have posted flyers in the park, and will be putting some mroe up around College Station.

If there is anything you can do to help, please do not hesitate. I am relying on the people of BCS to help me find this member of my family. He is very important to me.

Believe it or not I saw a coyote running across the road near there the other day.... Doesn't bode well for cats. Might want to find him pretty quickly...

Last night, I saw a cat fitting this description in the back side of the Carino's parking lot, near the the trees. I approached him and tried to grab him, but he didn't want to be caught. He appeared to be healthy and in good condition, and he sure could run fast. Good luck--I hope you and your cat are reunited soon.

I've seen cats behind Carino's before. That must be the depot for the Underground Cat Railroad.

I live in the area and will keep an eye out for Spaz! Make sure to put flyers up at the apartments/condo's in the area, too! Some years ago I had a 17 year old cat that went missing for 2+ weeks. I was just about to give up hope when a resident from my own complex contacted me, who knew where she was hiding! Put a pic on the flyer... that is very helpful!

Thank you all for the help you've given!! I had wondered about that side for a while now and will definitely take a look tomorrow as soon as I get off work. I do miss him terribly.

I feel I should also add to this that I will be leaving for an internship in New Mexico for 6 weeks in a matter of 5 days, so I'm getting desperate!! Please, if you do see him again, chasing him will make him run, try instead to talk to him while crouching, and pretend to (or actually) offer him food. He is a fatty, after all.

That's his name because that's what he is. Didn't strike me as a "Fluffy".

Stangely enough, I actually like cats, but am allergic to them. I had one named Fleabag, that can be linked genetically to every stray between Montgomery and Angelina county.

He's not microchipped yet, but when I get him back, he will be! I'm constantly asked about that, so it will happen when he comes home.
I have people who have agreed to keep an eye out for him when I leave, so even after I'm gone I won't miss anything.

I may have spotted this kitty this morning on my way to an appointment! There were two guys trying to catch it in the Woodbrook parking lot right next to Woodstock condo's on Dartmouth! He was on the run, so I only caught a glimpse of him. I drove back through after my appointment and didn't spot him or any lost/found kitty signs. I'm not sure if he was caught or not, but if you can get some signs w/contact info put up in that area, you may have some luck!

I'm sorry I couldn't stop this morning, but I'll keep an eye out for him. We live on GB East, but we own a couple of units in the area mentioned above.

Oh my goodness!! I got a phonecall from a young lady in that area this morning!! She had said she'd seen him running arond quite frequently these last few days... I'm thinking about setting out a humane trap for him. The animal shelter has them to rent. I have been getting more calls/texts from that area.

I did put up a lost cat sign yesterday, but I'm only allowed to post them on the mailboxes. I'm going to go back out after my finals today and try to put some up on lightposts, etc.

Thank you thank you thank you for responding to this!! I will definitely focus on that area for the next few days. Hopefully I can get him back before leaving the state :/

Krisi - I'm pretty certain that is the cat the guys were trying to catch! It was a bit chunkier or fluffier [hard to tell which since he was on the move] than in the pic. One of our units over there is empty now and we'll be doing some work there, so I'll keep an eye out for him. Keep us posted and/or send some contact info in case you have to leave town before he's located.

The trap sounds like a good option!

Yeah, he's definitely erm... "healthier" now, haha. And you aren't the first to say you saw him over there! I'm going back later this evening to see if I can see/catch him. He likes the way his food bag sounds when I shake it, so I've got a lure. Hopefully those guys didn't chase him away for good.

You might want to put on some mosquito spray and go sit quietly in a camp chair for awhile. If he recognizes you and it seems safe you might have your kitty back.

Well. I've stopped getting phone calls and messages. Needless to say, I'm really starting to worry at this point. I have to leave my apartment by 5 tomorrow, so time is quickly running out.

I will be leaving CS, but I have some friends who are staying that will keep an eye out for Spaz. I'll also be keeping contact with my family, who will drive down to pick him if when I receive word that he's been found.

I haven't lost hope in finding him... But it doesn't look like it's going to happen before I have to leave.

I will continue to leave food out for him, courtesy of my neighbors. I sat out last night for close to 2 hours waiting for a sign of him at the last spot he was seen. I will also be walking my old apartment complex-- Campus View apartments-- looking, with fliers to post. He may have found his way back over there.

Please... please keep looking for him. He's more than just a pet to me, he's a member of my family. Small family, but a member nonetheless.

Wow... I'm sorry to hear you didn't have any luck finding him last night. I've made note of your email and will be keeping an eye out for him since I live in and travel that area a lot. Don't lose hope, but do try to enjoy your trip to NM!
