Where are the Eastside NIMBY's and the assorted other tree huggers that cried when Weingarten was clearing the Eastside NIMBY National Park, Wildlife Preserve, and Al Gore-sponsored Spotted Owl habitat?

I love trees. I wish we had some larger trees in the backyard so I could build a tree house for my son. But somebody involved with the design and construction of the new high school is committing tree genocide, and nobody is saying a word.

On a related note, you people that are always asking where you can get firewood now have some other options.

Seen the new HWY-6/University Dr trees? They are lined up in a grid of perfectly straight lines. Very artificial feeling...

I agree I find the Lord Crompton memorial forest at 6 and university to be quite odd in it's lay out

I have a bad feeling about the Fitch/Barron intersection once that new high school opens.

I've learned this weekend, after being sucked into an argument on the Politics board, to just enjoy or hate other peoples' comments without getting involved. CS will eventually lose most of it's green land, trees, etc and we'll see a major increase in crime & traffic, but what can you do?
There I go again. Man it's hard not to comment.

What it boils down to is growth. With growth comes growing pains.

Snook will always be green as it will never grow.

Growth has it rewards, but also some negatives that come with it. A great example is the tree and wide open spaces.
