#844 Is going to be in Hearne today at around 1:30. It is on a heritage tour headed to the valley. For those train buffs, this should be fun!

If this is the same steamer that came thru CS about 10 years ago, I remember it well. I met it out in Millican and rode my Ducati back on Wellborn road north to CS. It was hitting 80 MPH along there. Sights and sounds of a steam locomotive running alongside a Ducati on an open road? Priceless.

There are a couple dozen of us waiting in Wellborn but no train yet.

She steamed by at 9:15 - very impressive!

parked behind Bryan Library and Children's Museum this morning at 8:20 and got to watch it pass....was amazing....

Turns out one of the employees of the 844 knows a buddy of mine in nebraska. We got to ride. We left at 8am and landed in houston at 1 ish. Once in a life time experience. Lots of people taking pics! Lots of "rail fans" driving stupidly to beat the train at the next crossing. VEry comfortable ride and a very nice crew! Thanks UP!

Malibu I would LOVE to do that. I was busy taking pics but my kids asked me "Daddy, who are all the people on the train? We could see them looking out the windows..." All of a sudden it dawned on me that there HAS to be a way to get on board!

you could have gotten on in navasota and rode the rest of the way. us 3 were the only 3 in the last car! The newscaster dave ward? fro houston sat next to us. He got on in old town spring. im still a child at heart.
