I've always wondered why people don't counterfeit $1 bills. Nobody ever looks at them, and you could probably make millions of them if you have a sophisticated operation. They are probably a lot easier to fake, also.

My boss informed me that a $100 fake was taken under my watch on Sunday night(most likely one of those 2 deposits received on Monday). REALLY REALLY good fake. KBTX Shannon, I will tell boss man you guys are looking into talking to business owners about this.
I guess the best way to see one is to see if you can get someone at the police department to show it to you .. they took the one I got..I went into an evidence bag with a report. I also gave them an object that the person who passed it handled.. By the time it went to the bank, and I showed it to the retail stores in my strip so they would know it had been handled way too much to be finger printed.

It costs too close to $1 to make a decent enough $1 bill copy to be worth it.
The latest security measures have worked real well, except for the newer method of washing a $5 to make a $50 or $100. They don't use $1 to wash since there aren't enough similar traits to pass the $50 off as legit, such as the band

Does anyone know if they have been able to fake the embeded denomination sting (little piece of tape that has the denomination on it)
