We had hail damage to our roof a few weeks back. Not terrible, but the insurance claims adjuster said we do need to get new shingles and some other stuff. We don't have leaks yet, but the hail did shorten the life of our roof.

Which roofing company do you MyBCS Mensa members recommend?

How much more money is it for a metal roof than a composite shingle roof?

Is a metal roof more energy efficient than a composite shingle roof?

A non-scientific review of Raintree (looking at the signs in yards) shows the top 3 companies being used there are Schulte, Crest and xtreme (?).

Lone-Star is the way to go. Locally owned by a good Aggie. They really stand behind their work. Give Luke a call 979-218-3662.

There is a reason that Ellis Homes, CGM, and other local custom builders are using them as well.

Ask for refrences, and make sure you go with someone local, make sure they are registered with the city as well and pulling permits.

Call Luke w/ Lone-Star (979-218-3662)he can get you all the information on metal roofs. You also can get a $1500 tax credit for a metal roof as well as a discount on you insurance. You need to check with your insurance agent to get the amount.

I agree. Lone-Star Roof Systems is the way to go. Also, the metal roofs are great. They put one on my parents house. Make sure and check with the BBB and more importantly make sure your other roofers are insured.

+1 for Luke w/ Lone-Star (979-218-3662), great guy and he will do free estimates, not sure if that is standard with most companies, just know that Luke does.
