I would appreciate any recommendations regarding restaurants that have outdoor eating areas who are willing to let patrons have their dogs with them.

Blue Baker (probably just on University since the outdoor space at the old one is enclosed), Jason's Deli, possibly Boston's, possibly Pei Wei.

Hi MomLaw--This strangely controversial topic has come up before. I, for one, am in favor of well behaved dogs on restaurant patios. My two yorkies have accompanied me to lots of places. I've met some realy nice dog-lover people in town.

We've taken them to Veritas, Blue Baker, Koppe Bridge, and La Bodega. There are even more dog-friendly restaurants in Houston and Austin. I'd be happy to give you a list of places we've had good luck, if you're interested. Or--go visit www.dogfriendly.com for more info.

Besides the places mentioned, the patio outside Carter's Burger near HEB is Bryan is a nice place. And although just a bar and not a restaurant, Revolutions is also very dog friendly.

The Hook at lake Bryan allows dogs.

I have heard that the Crazy Cajun people are dog friendly (on the patio).

Staff, thank you for the clarification. While observing comments I was reluctant to join in what seemed a radioactive dump.

Duddley's is dog friendly.

I've had my dog on the patio of On The Border a few times, although it's probably been a year and a half or longer since I've gone

I thought Ozona allowed them on the patio. You may want to call and make sure. I believe people talked about stopping there while walking the trails.
