Sorry for the confusion. I lived in Georgia and Florida for years, all the while considering myself to live both in the South and the East. Call the area what you want. Longhorn Steakhouse is all over those parts.
I always heard that if you lived north or east of the Red River....You were a yankee....
When I was in Virginia, they still wanted to be "The South", and with that whole Mason/Dixon Line, we just left it alone, because we were out-numbered.
The only thing "East Coast" about Florida is all of the horrible driving, rude, pasty white, gasping for oxygen-complainers from New York, that go there to "retire".
