On taste testing the two, I do think that the Dublin tastes better. I also like the fact that it uses real sugar rather than the high frucos corn syrup.

Charlie Mac - you may want to let your cashier know about this deal.

I just bought a 6-pack and we had a interesting time ringing it up.

Did you notice the complex register system??? We spent literally $10's of dollars on it!!

I just went over it with her, thanks. She said some dude came in and broke out a calculator on her, and I just cracked up! See ya tonight?

I'm impressed Charlie even had a register, I was expecting a cigar box full of change like a garage sale.

Great burger and fries

The wholesale distribution of DUBLIN Dr Pepper is limited to the bottler’s franchise area, which means that a bottler is not allowed (except under special circumstances) to market product in a territory that is held by another franchised Dr Pepper bottler. This limits where the "real" Dublin Dr. Pepper can be sold. Usually it is only sold within 44 miles of Dublin.

this is a good article:

TSUJC, thanks for the link, but that article is a bit off:
quote:
But under their franchise agreement, the Dublin plant is only authorized to supply stores in the 40-square-mile area between Stephenville and Hico.
It's actually approximately a 40-mile radius from Dublin, which is quite a bit more than 40 square miles. The reason for that distance? (Other franchises were given 100 mile-radius territories at the time, IIRC.) Dublin was in the heart of Comanche territory, and 40 miles was about the maximum distance a delivery team could travel by mule-drawn wagon, unload, and return safely before nightfall.

the green label plastic bottles are available at the Shell station in Brenham where 290 and 36 meet.

My son gets one every time we stop there.
