Hearing through the grapevine that there was a severe wreck at NG tonight, involving someone who was decapitated and more that were hurt during the wreck. Anyone know any more information at this hour?

From what I heard a car drove through the line of people waiting to pay at the northgate parking garage and at least two dead and many more injured. Awful accident. T&P to those involved

Ah okay, that makes more sense than what I've heard. I did hear that two people were killed. Incredibly unfortunate incident, still can't comprehend it.

I didn't see anything in the story about whether they caught the driver of the truck or not. Eerie reminder of that scene in Final Destination 3. I cannot beleive the truck driver did that! This goes way beyond stupid. He or She has sunk stupid to a new low.

and BTW (NOT tryng to be funny at all here) I hope the trash can did not hit anybody. I also hope the truck driver did/does not hit anyone else.

It is very possible the accident was caught on the security cameras. This should help in apprehending the driver if they are not already in custody.

More precise details please, KBTX!

Based on ONLY what I've read on KBTX, I woudln't be surprised either if there is more to this than just the driver being drunk. Maybe they were, but vehicle malfunction would not be surprising either. The whole way this happened just sounds crazy, there have got to be more details coming...

Without even knowing what happened, you already convict this person of murder.

Not to be overly nit-picky, but I wouldnt put much stock in that article until they clean it up a little. It looks like it was slapped together from several different statements, without any proofreading.

At this time, several injuries and a death have been reported in the accident. The case has been turned over to the College Station Police Department Criminal Investigation Division as the investigation continues.

Now what actually happened could be different, but the outcome was still the same. Was she drunk? Did she suffer a grand mal seizure of some sort, making her unable to slow the truck? Or was she just talking on a cellphone and not realizing/caring that she was driving to fast? Once she jumped the curb I am sure her feet left the ground of the truck and she lost complete control at that time. But that is no excuse. She should not have been driving if she was drunk. She could have called someone to take her home. then this would never have happened.

If not, that is a very ignorant statement.

Now let's not jump the gun. There could have been a malfunction with the truck that caused it to accelerate out of control. I'll wait to see what the final report says since right now it doesn't look like we have the whole story. T & P to the victims and their families.

Um....if she were drunk, don't you think they would have arrested her on the spot and charged her with DUI??

that's not in the least bit true. what if she had no medical history, but all of a sudden had a seizure? what if her truck had a problem? this could be a horrible accident that was no ones fault.

Looks like those concrete poles didn't really do their job.

those poles are meant to stop a speeding truck. they are there to keep people from driving, at a normal speed, in and out right there. plus they are on the outside, and wouldn't have stopped the people from being hit.
