I got a ticket in CS for parking on the grass. There was no curb, and the grass had grown out over the street. I was completely parked on the street, but there was grass and weeds grown out on the street, and I got a ticket for that.

Never paid it, never fought it and it disappeared. But it was still BS.

This was the same situation my girlfriend had. Some of you people are ridiculous. I could say the parking cop came into my yard and shot my dog for no reason and some of you would still back them.

They knew it was going to be busy that day and so they exploited it.

There were no appropriate parking spaces. The business spots were full. Have you ever been behind that shopping center in the neighborhoods. There is only street parking.

There are designated areas to park in the street. She found one of these so called areas. She didnt want her car to be sticking out so she put 2 wheels in overgrown weeds.

Give me a break

I still remember a thread from about a year ago where someone got a ticket for "not wearing a seatbelt", but their friend, whom I think posted it, was with them and vouched that he had it on the whole time. Some people still backed the cops since everyone makes mistakes and all...It is comical.

Yeah, I remember a thread from a while back where a poster posted about his brother getting a ticket for speeding in an area where the speed limit changed (slower) because of a hill and curve on the road, but he didn't see the sign informing of him of the change.

That was definitely the cop's fault!

Yep...one of the biggest speed traps in CS. Have there been motorcycle cops hiding in the bushes lately?

It's people that don't have common sense and have the "Well that's the way it reads, it doesn't specifically say you can park in your yard for an hour, it says you can't do it at all." that should not be enforcing them.

I find in life that people that have never had any real control over their own lives have this attitude. They get a sick inward thrill out of imposing their "authority" on other people. I've seen it all too many times with new managers, and it's pathetic to watch.

case in point...

They obviously knew there would be lazy students over there who wouldn't find an appropriate parking spot and went to make sure that said students were not destroying the grass of property owners.
