It's also linked from the main page at cstx.gov.

question:

where can one find crime statistics for a certain area of town? I can find them for the entire city of CS, but not the locations of the crimes.

Southwood. Statistics don't look very good for that area. About 17 car burglaries in 3 months, lots of drugs, vandalism, loitering, etc....

Southwood was A-OK, but if a guy gets shot in the face nearby, you might want to think twice about an area...

treloni: As for your original post about Lake St., I was driving down Cavitt today so I drove up and down Lake. What I said before still goes, but that particular street is the worst part of that area. It was pretty sketchy looking. Again, probably not unsafe, but I don't think I would enjoy living there. Also, I hadn't realized that apartment building was on Lake. Pretty sketchy.

Honestly, what happened off of Southwood could have literally happened anywhere. It has nothing to do with the neighborhood.
