When I think of Don Adam, I get this picture:
In all seriousness, he is the Chairman of The Adam Corporation, and is a key player on several boards in this town. He's known for his generous contributions so several local efforts, for formerly owning the First American Bank, and for developing and owning Miramont.

Actually he has built his wealth over several endevours. He started in insurance, which is what the Adam Corporation primarily does.
He owed and sold a car dealership, started and sold a cable company, and was already a billionaire when Citi purchased First American, which he paid pennies on the dollar for following the S&L collapse of the late 1980s.
