Whats everyone's pick on a range finder under $200? Gotta give the fiance some Christmas ideas...

For under $200, Bushnell is definitely a brand to look at

I've got a bushnell-- and paid like $149 from cabellas

I've been very satisfied

I paid $249 for my Bushnell Scout...it actually crapped out during a torrential downpour in the 2004 spring turkey season, and Bushnell replaced it. And it was only supposed to be water resistant. And boy, when I say rain, I mean 7 inches in 5 hours... Very nice. Love a company that stands behind their product like that.

You can't imagine how nice it is to have a rangefinder..it's indispensable once you have one.

Thanks for the input. I keep going through the specs on the Bushnells and leanin towards a couple of those...and I kinda like the Nikon for around the same price too. Seems like you get a few less features on the Nikons, but is the quality better?

I've never used one of the Nikons, but I have a couple of the Bushnells, though they are the upper end of the line for Bushnell. I have the Quest and just got the Elite 1500 a little while back. They are both very good rangefinders and the Elite is 100% watreproof.

Just bought a Bushnell pro scout camo online for ~$230, they run about 250 for matte black at gander mountain
