How long do you want to ignore this user?
I'm out here at a buddy's place and we're trying to pull 15 images off of his Cuddeback digital with his PC. We're baffled. We've got a USB from the camera to the PC port, but can't bring up a viewer. Cuddeback's site didn't have any software to download and we don't have a reader that fits the square card. Any thoughts/tips/????

Go into "My Computer" or "Explorer." The camera should show up as an external drive. You can find the pics on there, highlight them all, and copy and paste them into a folder on the laptop. Then you can double click the pictures to view them.

Thanks, but that didn't work. It makes sense to me that it should appear as an external drive when plugged in with a USB cord (like a digital camera). However, the computer wouldn't recognize the Cuddeback and the instruction manual that came with the camera sucks ass. We finally gave up and hooked it up to the TV with an AV cord. Man, there were some really nice deer on there - I'll post pics as soon as we figure out how to download them. I'm hoping it was just a compatability issue with the laptop we were using. We'll try again with a different computer in a few days. Short of that, I know a guy who says he has an 8-in-1 card reader that should read the memory card in the camera (assuming that the pics are on the card and not in the camera's internal memory).

Not sure about Cuddeback, but in the Moultrie cameras the card overrides the internal memory. Other than that, you can try to go to the control panel in Windows and Add new Hardware. That should find the camera when plugged in with the USB.

Don't know if you did this, but if you plugged the camera in after the computer was turned on, it sometimes won't recognize the hardware. Best to plug it in before you turn it on, and it should recognize it then.

Other than that, I don't know what to do. I can usually figure out how to do stuff on a computer, but I have no idea how or why they work the way they do.

I'm with you. I'm no expert, but I can usually play around enough to figure crap out. That's why I'm baffled. We tried every possible combo we could think of and it wouldn't read. I just wanted to make sure we weren't missing anything obvious or that there wasn't some special trick we didn't know about.

This is funny. I had the same problem today with my Cuddie Back. I took my memory card out last night and left the camera in the field. Today I went to get it and move it and it had six pics on the cam not the card. I took it back to my pc and hooked it up and it would recognize the USB but it told me I had to format the drive and would delete what was on the camera. I tried to hook it to the tv with no luck, so I ended up erasing them and put the memory card back in. It ticked me off. The pics are great when you can get them off though.

Sucks for you, but I'm glad to know that we weren't the only ones!
