I went to the grand opening of NOLA Fly Co. today and won some great prizes including my choice of a new Douglas Sky G. I'm pretty stoked. My current line-up consists of:

Hardy 6'6" 2wt
Sage 389LL
Northfork Iconglass 476
Sage 590DS
Northfork 890 GammaBeta

I'm leaning to 690, but welcome any input.

Boat racing is like a beautiful woman.......expensive, high maintenance, but well worth the fun!

Congrats!

A Sky G 690 with the fighting butt option would be a good choice with what you already have. Pair it up with a salt rated large arbor reel with a good drag and it can be used from trout rivers to salt water flats by changing the fly line.

I use salt water set up 6 weights a lot for throwing Hoppers, heavy nymph rigs and small to mid size steamers for trout, stream & small lake Bass, Sand Bass, Specks, Snappers and Bonefish.

It never hurts to have a fighting butt on a fly rod.
My wife landed a Tarpon on an Orvis Helios 6 weight while looking for Bonefish around docks in Belize.
