His last #1 hits came out in the early '90s. Right as country music was starting to go to crap. The tail end of the country legends.

Well, that's probably why I don't know who he is. I don't really listen to music, and only really listened to Christian music as a kid.

It was one hell of a comeback. He'd basically disappeared from the music scene after a few hits in the early 80s, then released Seminole Wind. Vince Gill made a comment about the comeback at an awards show. Its fairly rare that you see that.

His 2001 Album, Nobody's Got it All, is also very good. He covered the Chris Knight song, It Aint Easy Being Me, and Springsteen's, Atlantic City. The Doug Supernaw, Five Generations of Rock County Wilsons, is also on that album.

His 2020 song, Years, is haunting.
