We leave the hoods open on the trucks at the ranch. Seems to help.

When I had a camper I used those electric repellant things and never had rodents, but that could be coincidence.

Best defense is a few cats

At the company deere lease in brackettville, we had good luck propping out truck hoods open. We had about 6 HD trucks, all diesels, and before we left, we parked them and just put a 2x4 under the hood to keep rats and coons out. Seemed to work ok but still not perfect.

All of above suggestions. Bait, repellent spray, prop hood up electronic repellent.
One not mentioned, put corn or peanut butter under the other guys hood.

We got some peppermint spray from Home Depot for our ranch in South Texas - we spray all the golf carts etc with it when we leave and it has stopped them

I had a Porsche Boxster in my barn. Still did not help. There is a thread on automotive I started about it. I think it was squirrels because I had nuts in my engine. Had an outdoor F150 that happened to as well.

People said to use dryer sheets or moth balls.
