Early teal season opens this weekend. Anyone seeing birds?

I'll be out both mornings this weekend.

I'd be really surprised if you didn't do really well at T-bird

we normally go first and second day. can't this year as kiddo has high school bass tournament.

Our normal guide told us a couple weeks ago he was already worried about the lack of birds.

saw a buddy from el campo this weekend that has crazy good hunting property. asked about if he was seeing teal and his response was "not many".

Lots of birds in Lissie. I haven't seen that many teal pre-LST in a long time. I got some video 2 min before LST, but I can't add it here, but its crazy.

This was one guests first teal hunt and we told him its not always like this, but I think he is hooked.

I've dove hunted a number of times already this year, including last night, so I was shooting pretty good and was done at 6:54. It always helps when you have a dry field behind you and you don't worry about birds getting away and take some passing shots too.

Heard three shots around Xmas/bastrop south of the icw. Saw 4 teal. Glad I was fishing instead lol…

Wasn't as good, but we still shot birds. We were on a blind/time limit and could have shot all our birds but stopped at 36.
