Best eating ducks on the planet.

Make sure it is duck season. Make sure you are using steel shot. And make sure you are nowhere near a feeder of any kind. Make sure you have state migratory bird endorsement and federal duck stamp. Make sure you have been HIP certified and have hunters safety. Finally make sure your gun can only hold 3 max. Keep 6 per day per person.

I take the time to get the legs and thighs on them jokers. They are the only true herbivore duck.

I never thought about keeping the legs but it absolutely makes sense! I had a hunt 9-10 years ago where we shot about half a 4 man limit of them. They do eat really well!

Pretty amazing at how those ducks have expanded their range northward. They were nowhere around most of the state 30 years ago. I guess the same can be said for white wing dove and crested caracara. Kind of makes you wonder. Now if the snook could just work their way north a little faster that would be great.
