I grew up in Eddie's Country Ballroom - just a grassy field now.

Same if we're talking about the Texas Hall of Fame off 2818. We met in 2001. Married in 2004. Still married with three great kiddos, one who is in the Mays School at A&M. Other two are a bit younger (middle school and high school).

And then waiting for Willie to walk through the crowd at 11:30 to hand out MIPs. Those from the area know what I'm talking about. He was a close friend of our family, and may he rest in peace.

The shadow boxes at the Hall were a thing of glory.

Good chance I was there as well - went to high school with his kids.

We moved to Manvel and lived there 15 years. Our son was first class that had all four years. Until then, I'd take him to Alvin games. Bought an Alvin cap but my head would break out in a rash wearing that awful color.

It's amazing what Manvel has become. I remember when it was nothing but a handful of farms and a really crappy convenience store on 6. About it's only saving grace back then was that it was off 288 and wasn't Iowa Colony.
