Anyone looking to lease or carve out individual lease spots from the LA state line down to Palacios? For the guys who have individual memberships at the clubs, how often do you find yourself able to have a blind to yourself to bring guests/kids? Or are you always paired with other individual hunters?

I blast and cast SE Texas marsh subject to tides using a boat as transport. I'm looking for optionality on low tide mornings and to do trips with less intense logistics for kids under 10. A camp spot or no frills lodge is nice, and dove or other sporting oppurtunities are a good bonus. I like self-guided . Sometimes i make a weekend of it camping and other times I'm daytripping from the house in the Houston area.

As far as the clubs go, I think these are the options, but open to other suggestions:

Thunderbird - Wait list full. Haven't responded to see if I can get on wait list for 2028
Blessing - looks like they are only doing 4 man groups. Do they pair individuals or you pair up before joining?
La Bahia - waiting to hear if they take individuals
Riceland - takes individuals
Coastal Prairie Outfitters - taxes individuals
Maxout - seems to only offer guided hunts nowadays
Run N Gun - seems to only offer guided hunts nowadays

I appreciate any leads on leases or clubs I've omitted and any feedback of your experience with any of the clubs.

Didn't Bucksnag have a waitlist a mile long?

Never set foot on a place like this but this seems to come up on a regular basis. Thunderbird is always the top recommendation.

I hunt Thunderbird and have for over 10 years. The waitlist is really long and you almost need a direct connection to an existing member to get in or have someone that will personally recommend you. It's not cheap but the hunting is phenomenal.

I believe blessing will pair you up. Thunderbird hints in groups of 4 (no more than 4 per pond). I believe blessing is the same way but you can get paired up if you only have 1 in the group. Several guys I know that used to hunt THC are on Blessing. They also have a few of our old properties.

Last I heard, the La Bahia wait list is closed and there's a wait list to get on the wait list.
