Fall semester 2001, I had a class with a gal who was super excited that she'd already landed a job with Arthur Andersen.

Running a pawn shop on S Gessner in Houston.

Biologist for a north Texas game ranch.

Intern at JP Morgan

Substitute teacher for the Caddo Parish School system.

First permanent job - Promotions Coordinator at a casino.

City Editor for the Pearsall Leader, Dilly Herald, and Cotulla Times.

My first and last newspaper job.

Not A&M but, framing townhouses by the runway at McDill AFB in FL. Watched Air Force 1 take off on 9/11.

First professional job was as a juvenile assessor for Pinellas County, FL. We were the first people that kids would see when they were arrested. We'd sit down with them and discuss everything going on in their lives then make a recommendation to a judge about what kind of services they might benefit from. We got in everything from kids that had murdered their families to run-aways that had hitchhiked across the country. Lots of truly sad cases but we were able to help a lot of kids get help from terrible situations.

Smelled of dirt, sweat and crap everyday on the drive back to College Station after working with the Other hands. Damn I miss that job.

i got out january 1961. BS, wildlife management, Texas Parks&Wildlife biologist, Silsbee, Canyon, Edinburgh, Tyler, 17 years, the happy times as field biologist. then 17 years in Austin, tpwd regulations, Hunting Guide, big responsibility with no authority. retired 9.20.93.

Good times. No money.

Engineer at Marathon Oil's Gulf Coast Offshore District. Hung around with them for the next 23 years.
