I don't think I will jinx this good fortune we've had, however, my Muck Boots "chore model" have sprung a leak. I need a good replacement. Something comfortable for wearing all day and durable too.

I got some xtra tuffs. Pretty comfy and light weight. I wear them all day some days and no issues. Not as rugged as a muck boot if you are needing some heavy duty ones. And not tall.

I was not impressed with the Lacrosse Alphaburly Pro that I had. Although they lasted a few years I guess.

I went to Cabelas to replace them and just bought the top model they had on sale. Which were Cabelas branded. They are doing great....at a third of the price.

I was a big Xtra Tuff fan (When we lived near Missoula; I don't think you could go in Costco unless you were wearing a pair) . First pair was great, second pair bought 5 or 6 years later fell apart in 6 months. Wife and I both have these and wear them a lot doing yard work and in our jet boat. Fit better and no problems after a couple of years. I have the brown "Tarmac" ones.

Wore these more than any other footwear for stretches doing pipeline surveys on the gulf coast.

Still use them at the house sometimes.

I like my Habit brand boots, bought them in Sam's club.

I'm going to get some Orvis deck boots showing above.. They seem practical for sloshing around in muddy roads and feeding livestock. I'm not sure how well that they work when you have to get in deep black mud to fix a water leak.

Have worn the Lacrosse maroon barchetta posted above for years. Wear them hard, they are nails. Not really a boat boot though. Great for hunting and all around wear.

For boat deck boots, xtra tuff, Grundens, and Huk. Have put a ton of hours on their regular and insulated versions on the water w those deck boots.

If you want to go real country, pick up some Ridge Cuts from Tractor Supply.

A friend likes his Hisea brand boots a well. Never tried them myself.

The best thing about those LaCrosse Grange is they don't come off in the mud.

Had numerous co-workers step out of their $15 Red Ball boot and do the one leg stork pose while trying to pull their stuck boot out of the mud.

It usually ended with them walking in one boot and one sock and us going to buy him new socks and boots at lunch.

La Crosse are the best mud boots I have ever owned.

That being said, I absolutely love my Kuiu ankle mud boots and wear them way more often now - assuming I don't need the additional height for higher water levels. Just comfortable, easy to get on and off, not as hot, and have an aggressive tread pattern on the bottom.

Plenty of cheaper ankle mud boot options out there though…

I wear ankle boots daily in my fishing guide service/charter captain business.

Had one pair of Xtratuffs.
Have had about 6 pair of the Simms.
Currently wearing Columbia's. The most comfy yet. We will see how they last.

They all fail and the rubber cracks at the bend of the toes on the left foot. I guess thats the foot I bend and crouch to deal with fish and bait and wash my hands in the water over the side of the boat...

Down here we call those Matagorda ropers, not sure why as there are also a ton of shrimpers around Galveston.

I have the LaCrosse AlphaBurly and they're great. Also have a pair of Simms deck boots but got them off Steep & Cheap or Sierra Trading Post or someplace similar for well under half what they go for normally- they're great for that price but not at the $170 they go for normally.

My Irish setter boots are the most comfortable I have ever had. And they consistently on sale at sportsman guide for under $100. I can work or hunt in them all day - no blisters
