Headed to Argentina tomorrow. Will be in Northern Patagonia a couple hours from Santa Rosa. Should be warm (and maybe even a little wet); but otherwise good time to be there. Going to Miami and to BA, transferring to domestic airport and then to Santa Rosa and drive to the camp.

First hunting day will be Saturday and 6 hunting days thru Thursday the 2nd.

Goal is stag, boar, buffalo, blackbuck mouflon, multi horn ram, wild goat and hybrid sheep.

If you are flying domestic out of Ezeiza, be warned that their domestic terminal is a dump.

EZE's international terminal is ok, but there are times where it can take over two hours to clear all of their repetitious outbound security and customs procedures.

Which airport are you flying into from Miami?

Haven't flown out of AEP, so can't provide any comments. Can only hope that place isn't a dump like domestic EZE.

In case you haven't flown into EZE before, if you arrive really early in the morning, customs procedures doesn't take too long. However, if mid or late morning, plan on being in line for as much as an hour. Also, if you don't speak spanish, consider printing out in spanish a detailed list of your itinerary while in Argentina. Which hotels, what cities, how long, and when you are leaving, etc.. Hand that to the customs person at the booth. In my experience, they like anything that helps the system move a bit quicker. YMMV, of course.

EZE to Aep is not very far , but can take an hour depending on traffic, AEp is pretty easy

Bag check at AEP is a ****hole but the actual terminal is pretty nice. Aerolinas Argentina is a state run airline, so always interesting.

I was down there last month fishing and there were strikes going on by the airline workers. Many people at our lodge were impacted, luckily we weren't. Hopefully those are finished.

Or outfitter had someone greet us getting off plane in BA, walked our baggage and bow cases thru into van, switched airports and helped check bows and luggage back into plane to Bariloche. Made everything easy, but we did not have firearms, that could make a difference.

I'll be there right after you. From EZE, flying to El Monte and staying a few days doing decoyed pigeon shooting. Then flying down to Tipiliuke for fishing, boar, quail and red stag. It will be lots of fun.

Miami plane pronounced DOA. Flight scheduled to leave now at 7:45 that only leave 15 minutes for Miami connection to BA. Wheelchair cart arranged to take me to gate to see if we can make it.

Flight to BA is very late, so I'll get to BA on Friday. May not get there in time to transfer airport and make Santa Rosa flight, though.

Both flights had planes go out of service and require new equipment.

Flight to BA left 3 hours late and did not arrive in time to make Santa Rosa connection.

Plan B, Driving to Santa Rosa now. 6 hours to Santa Rosa airport, then another 2 to the lodge.

Will hunt on time tomorrow. Luggage will arrive Sunday. I don't know how they managed to lose my bag given the amount of time they had to route it correctly. Using the outfitters gun anyway, so no issue there.
