Looking for a new set of binoculars for hunting. Budget is no more than $300. I'm a central Texas hunter but do have large grain fields to look across.

What do you recommend?

Ive been damn happy with my vortex diamondback HD. I really can't say I've seen anything better. I havnt looked through 1500 dollar binos so maybe they are but I've looked through some that are well over 400 and they all look about the same to my eyes. YMMV.

Caladan is the resident expert and I'd value his comment over my opinion though.

Same experience with the vortex for me.

I have been really pleased with my vortex razors. I don't think they are in your price point. I went from a pair of vortex circa 2012. And it was amazing the difference.

Agree with others on VORTEX. I've been using them for a good while and they've held up and performed well. Leupold is certainly a good option too. Both have good customer service if you do have an issue.
