Geez! No one hunts around Doss??!! Northern Childress County for me and my grands. Wasn't for them, not sure I'd mess with it anymore, as much as I love deer sausage. Like my wife says, if she knew how much fun grandkids were, she'd have skipped the kids, and went straight to grands.

We dove hunt all four of our family ranches ( Falls, Milam, Coleman and Menard counties).
By far we kill the most doves in Coleman and Menard counties.

We kill our biggest mature deer during the peak rut in Falls & Milam counties.
Most of them in the middle of large farm fields.

Coming from San Antonio I always turn off right after Charco. We're not too far from you just east of the air strip down there by Berclair. Still waiting for my trophy to show up one of these days. Yall ever see any thing big where you're at?

I grew up in Falls county and we ran a bunch of cattle and yes, over the years there have been plenty of BIG bucks in the area and it seems like there have been more and more... I've seen a few over the years myself, missed a shot on a big 9 one morning years ago and have seen plenty of folks get lucky with one..

I hunt on my buddies land that is 25 miles south of I-10 / Ozona in Crockett county.

Every few years I get a lease with my brother in San Saba too
