Sad news this morning for a local fishing guide, Owen Gayler that needs our help. He has been diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer. I've met Owen briefly a few times and he is a standup family man, one of the best!

Owen is a great husband and loving father to 3 young girls and a tough sob that is bound and determined to beat this cancer.

Owen has been a great friend for a number of years. I pushed him in Keith Lake the day he bought his first Sabine skiff.

In about 2019, he decided he was going to trade in a saddle for a skiff because the cowboy life was beating him up every day and he figured making his living fishing would give him a healthier longer life to spend with his girls.

Hope the OB can step up for Owen in any way y'all can

Might be one of the best guides down near POC and like others have mentioned he's tough as nails but has a heart for helping others. As a fellow girl dad it pulls at your heart strings to see something like this. Consider donating if you can.
