Came home from two days away to this in my yard. Damn kids put out the slip and slide, then doused it with Dawn soap to make it slippery. Any thoughts on what I can do now?

It's not stressed, it's dead. The soap in the water stripped the wax and oils off the grass and then it basically burns up. But new grass will regrow there, it's not something that is going to effect the soil and prevent it from coming back. Yard looks healthy otherwise so i'd assume it won't take long. And yeah, having kids outside versus on a game console or iPad is worth a reward imo.
You missed his point. "... damn kids ..."atmdds03 said:
I have two boys that destroy the grass playing wiffle ball. Sometimes I have to ask myself: What is more important, raising grass or raising kids? One day the grass will come back faster than the kids.

Out of the box option: Do nothing.
Green, immaculately manicured lawns originated with wealthy English landowners - some of the very same elitist (either w/ deep ties to or clergy of the Church of England) the Pilgrims and Puritans detested and wanted to leave behind.
Then Post-War when lawns became a super popular and easy way to display middleclass success, big businesses (seeds/fertilizer) and advertising further brainwashed Americans into thinking OmG wE mUsT hAvE tHe BeStEsT pReTtY lAwN eVeR oN tHiS sTrEeT!
No need to worry about your kids having fun outside.
