Heading to Gulf Shores, AL with my family (3 teenagers, wife) for a week in early July. Looking for recommendations for good fishing guides (offshore and inshore). If you know anyone good, please let me know.

I've got a trip booked with Bottomed Out fishing next Wednesday, going out of Fort Morgan. He's the guide that our nonprofit chapter in that area uses. They say he's pretty good. It will be me, my wife and 4 teenagers. I can review him on this thread afterwards

I fished inshore with Captain Darrell in Gulf Shores over spring break with my wife and kids. I thought he did a great job, everyone caught fish.

I wanna catch trout or redfish or flounder. Has anyone found a good guide in this area or near Destin for these species?

It was a good trip. Started out catching bait by one of the rigs with a rod & reel. My son's buddy doesn't have much fishing experience and this was his first saltwater trip. It was good to build up his confidence with the little fish first.
After that we went 25 miles out to hit some reefs for Snapper. We got one good one in the boat and then a big bull shark showed up and ruined it. My wife had a big fish on and the shark ate it and got hooked. Took the guide a while to get him broke off. We moved reefs and caught a couple more then some dolphins showed up and started knocking fish off our lines so we had to move reefs again. We got our snapper limit on the last reef (34 miles out) just as another big shark showed up and got on my wife's line again.

He's pretty pricey, especially compared to similar trips out of Texas, but we have no complaints. Other guys I got quotes from were about the same. He is an Iraq war veteran and he gives veteran discounts if you or someone in your party is eligible
