Pretty crazy story. Woman hits a kayaker, kills the rider, and then flees the scene in another vehicle accident. Now TPWD is trying to identify the killer with just a pic.

As an aside, I can think of few things more dangerous than riding a kayak on any north Texas urban lake during a holiday weekend.

You can expand that to any lake on a holiday weekend.

Her pictures is being blasted everywhere. I don't know how she thinks she's going to get away with this one.

Regardless, her life as she knew it before this accident, will forever change.

I did not take it that Teslag was laying blame on the kayacker. He was stating how dangerous it is to be on a busy lake during a major " go to the lake" weekend. It's exactly why I don't fish or run my boats on July 4th, Labor Day or Memorial Day weekends. Too many drunks, addicts, and inexperienced boaters.

It's the same story that gets played out when a cyclist gets hit.

"Biking these days with texting drivers just isn't safe…"

Exactly this. No one is faulting the kayaker at all. But boating can be dangerous at certain times, especially if you're in an unpowered vessel. I won't fish holiday weekends. Simply isn't worth it, especially since my main lake is Lake Granbury. I don't even fish it on random weekend days after 10am.

I wouldn't bike on those same weekends and why I try not to travel, period, on those same because it's going to be more dangerous. I mean just look at the statistics.
I agree 100% on holding folks accountable. Want to take a guess how many people on Tex Ags has ever text or used a cell phone dangerously while driving?

Stepping on to a jet ski seems to remove about 40 IQ points, and all human decency.

I was on a lake in Arizona a few years ago, and saw 2 accidents within 5 minutes. A jet ski hit a fishing boat, and 5 minutes later 100 yards away 2 jet skis hit each other. All of them were ok, but they were all clearly imbeciles.

And I've also had to leave a lake we were fishing on in North Texas because it got to a point that we couldn't cast without worrying about clotheslining some idiot on a jet ski buzzing by us.

I hate those things.

Hopefully they get an ID and arrest the idiot.

So there were two on the jetski (actually, a PWC, but who cares??) and the passenger stayed at the scene. Does the passenger not know who she was riding with?

Perhaps not, but sounds weird.

Edit: also, do they not know who owns the PWC? Its either her or that person SHOULD be able to identify her. Perhaps it is the guy that drove away, but that gives them his ID.

I agree. They'll know who she is by noon tomorrow.

I can say it's not wise to kayak on a busy holiday weekend while simultaneously thinking the jet ski operator should be held fully accountable.

I can also walk and chew bubble gum at the same time.

Now she's likely to catch a manslaughter charge instead of intoxication manslaughter.

She knows she won't. She just needs time to sober up so that she can't be charged higher for whatever was in her system.

Sad for the kayaker snd family.

Jet skis always did seem to bring out the worst in people. Hope she gets multiple additional charges. Kudos to the passenger for staying.

On Travis a long time ago a single boat driver pulling a tube, cut right across the front of us. Our boat went right through one side snd over the other. I saw it last second and protected my face and head. Our boat owner and his young son were seriously injured spilling blood on every inch of the boat. Their boat sank so I picked them up and raced to the dock. They with guilt and No injury wouldn't provide any help whatsoever to our injured. Never understood the lack of taking responsibility and will to make things right or better.

I worked with my dad as Leo and made countless auto accidents…. many with fatalities and horrendous injuries.
What you say is quite common. Often caused by the trauma of the situation and shock setting in.
I have seen it both ways….. folks going nuts over the grief of the situation saying " I'm sorry, I'm sorry, over and over again…. to being totally uncaring and actually detached from the incident.

We were at the ballpark right next to where it happened. Second hand information but...another dad went over when the ambulance showed up. There was a big pool of blood and the ambulance left pretty fast but the police stayed for hours. Apparently the jet skis were going into shallow water areas where a lot of people were swimming and the kayaker was. This was not out in the middle of the lake.

Additional videos circulating now, one of the passenger that stayed behind. None speaking English. Some chatter too that the jet ski operator is trying to flee to Mexico.

It looks like Tikka/PFG is starting to work up enough courage to start posting on the OB again. They've stayed impartial for the most part from what I've seen but just couldn't resist on this one.

The young lady killed was an Air Force enlistee.

If this hoodrat is trying to flee south close the border outbound until she is caught as well.

For sure, after I turned 30 and had kids, I deemed it as not worth it going out to the lake on holidays weekends given the amount of drunks and idiots.

They have identified her but they have not found her yet.
She seems to be scrubbing her socials but people already have screenshots. Alejandra Glen is the name on the socials, but that might be her "americanized" name. Tattoos on the socials match up with the ones in the original photo posted by law enforcement

Doesn't have to be a holiday weekend. When our skiers drop off, there are times we couldn't circle back fast enough to get them before there's a boat not paying attention closing in. Scary stuff. We won't ski or tube past 10am.

Plus a picture of her posing in the same swim suit.

Social media and the obsession with taking pictures of yourself apparently does serves a purpose.
