What's your favorite store bought? I've been happy with Prudhomme's. What do y'all like? Cajun seasoning isn't sold where I live so I either need to order it online, or make it myself.

What's your favorite Cajun seasoning recipe if you have to make your own?

thanks!

How do these compare to Tony C's? That has also been favorite of mine.

I took a pic of the grocery store last time I was in New Orleans. These are all Cajun seasonings.

We always have Tony Cacheres out on the table and I even keep individual use packets in my wallet and car for restaurants that need a little help with their seasoning.
I would bet you could get that most places.

However I do like Best Stop as well.

Bolner's makes this that I've only seen at a local butcher. Never even knew they had this line up since it's not sold at HEB.

No salt and a course blend of spices.

I like the Cajun 2 Step, it's a better version of Tony's.

I recently met a guy from south Louisiana who swore by Cajun Two Step. It's pretty spendy compared Tony Cs. Is it worth the price difference?

I buy the Tony Chachere No Salt and then add salt to taste once I get it spicy enough.

I grew up using Tony's and put it on any and everything that required salt or pepper. Along with Trappeys, Bull, Louisiana, Tabasco. Switched to Ragin Cajun and thats my new favorite. I also have some 2-step, and I like it, but the MSG blows up my wife's head (as does Tony's). Dont care for Slap. If you around Evangeline or St. Landry Parish, get you some Behave Your Damn Self. Its good good!

Normal Tony Chacheres has too much salt to me and I like salt. They do have a less salt and a no salt version that are more difficult to find. Switched to slap ya mama a year or two ago, but have been thinkin about trying something else. Best stop and cajun 2 step are on my list.

I don't recall how much Tony's is, but Cajun 2 Step is $4.99 at Academy for the small can which doesn't seem that expensive. It does have MSG in it, so if you're adverse to MSG, then it might not be worth it.

My wife puts Tony's on everything and we love the heat of Slap Yo Mama.

Recently, I was shopping for a spring break trip group, and a Louisiana native had requested Blackened Seasoning. I had never heard of Blackened. This stuff was good and was pretty cajun to me. I haven't tried their other options yet.

I grew up in the heart of Acadiana and the only thing anyone used on the bayou or the cane fields was Tony Chachere's original.

Put Tony's original in your boil or use as multipurpose seasoning. Put blackened seasoning on your fish filets.

Hows the MSG in it? I tried their crawfish boil and you could smell the chinese buffet from across the yard.

My go to is Tonys or Louisiana brand.

Carried Zatarains in my truck food box during oilfield years but it got harder to find. Slap Ya Momma is my replacement that was recommended to me by Cajun friend while perusing the spice shelves in Scott one day

The Chupacabra Cajun is great and available at HEB.

FWIW I really like all the Chupa products. We use the regular Chupa seasoning for everything from eggs to veggies, to pork and chicken. It's a fantastic general seasoning.

this guy is in Houston. He has good stuff. A lot of the poplar crawfish boil restaurants are using this.

My son is in pilot school and he's planning one of his cross country flights specifically so he can go to Don's, the boudin is that good. Haven't had the seasoning but I'd bet it's good based on everything else I've had there!

Don's and Best Stop have the best Boudin. Best Stop was smart enough to build a location in Katy. Don's should think about a Cypress location. lol

I've ordered Boudin and Cracklins from them several times. Refrigerated freight ain't cheap but it's good to get here.
