Im my quest for farm supplies lately, I have observed that TSC is getting a lot higher in pricing to the other local feed stores and hardware stores in my area. Example I can buy generic roundup grass killer for approx $45 for the 2 1/2 gallon size. TSC on their website and store has the generic roundup same % of glyphosate, at $44 for a gallon. In buying wormer for cattle and shots I have also found them to be a lot higher than my local feed stores. This was before the Trump crackdown on imports. Have others had the same experience with TSC? They use to be my go to place, but Im now taking my money elsewhere that is more price friendly.

Yep. Paying for the convenience. But if you think they're bad, don't go to Murdoch's.

I order most of that type of stuff online now.

I make a list and drive 2 hours to Producers Coop in Bryan about once a month. Sometimes dropping cattle off on the way at the mid-Tex auction. Good prices and selection at producers coop but they have done a great job for many years employing so many college kids. Usually a friend or two go also and we have lunch with our college kids while there.

I am with you, I shop Producers but it's a 70 mile trip for me. My wife and I will be making trips there more often now and stopping by Costco on the way home. My go to man at Producers is Dr. Bill Lazbe he is a wealth of information when it comes to all thing chemicals for you ranch. Since he has somewhat retired I try to make sure he is there when I make the trip.

Where are you finding $45 glyphosate in 2.5 gallons?

Second this place. Ordered on a Tuesday and had it Thursday. Out of Pasadena and can setup an account for ag exemption.

Don't buy from TSC for supplies unless you are in a pinch and whatever you need is not available elsewhere.

TSC does have some ok dog food prices. The 4 Health and Diamond branded dog foods are a decent deal.

Yeah, TSC used to be for farmers and ranchers, but then with all the backyard farmers coming up, seems like they try to cater more to that group now, especially since they wouldn't know high prices from a hole in the ground, and young kids working there telling them bs.

Go to Nutrien ag on FM 50 and get even better help on chemicals

Atwoods is good on some things. TSC has become a rip off store.

Murdochs can be high, but they are cheaper on bulk bolts.

Haven't bought chemicals at any of these places though.

Tractor supply has been a Chinese import store for a while. It's like Home Depot or Lowe's but slightly geared towards ag. It's not the cheapest but they carry cheap stuff. I use it for some feeds and nuts and bolts. That's about it. As for chemicals, I do like all the other folks in the community. Buy online, or at Helena chemicals. Or get hooked up with the closest neighbor with a license for restricted stuff. lol.

TSC in NB absolutely sucks. They never have what we need in stock and their prices are high. We go, because it's close and easy but more times than not we end up going elsewhere. We do like the propane tank filling.

Guadalupe Gas will exchange cylinders at your house for $20. Depending on how much you go thru, etc, it might be an option for you. Murdochs is cheaper on refills than TSC. NB Feed next to TSC has a small engine repair guy that is awesome and fast if you ever need that.

Occasionally, I get really good deals on their CLEARANCE stuff. I'll check the clearance section, and will walk a few extra aisles to see if anything has yellow clearance tags.

They DO have great prices on bulk nuts/bolts, especially grade 8 stuff. They sell it by the pound, rather than by the nut/bolt/washer, like Lowe's/HD. If you're doing something that requires lots of nuts/bolts, you can save lots of money on them.

Their batteries are pretty outrageous, compared to Walmart. Certainly nothing special about their feed prices.

Out here bought Helena's 52% Glyphosate for $42.50 for a 2.5 gallon jug last fall.
1 gallon Remedy for $80.00

I like Murdochs to look around. Hit their clearance racks up.

Try to stay local as much as possible.

I hit TSC up when I am running late.
