4 weeks yesterday!

my sleep has been screwed up. I read that might happen. I have been waking up in the middle of the night and unable to go back to sleep.

I read that could take a month or so to work itself out. hope so!
I hear melatonin helps.

I can fall asleep fine. I just wake up after 5 hours.

that is actually what melatonin does to me on its own. I sleep hard for a few hours then wake up.

Howdy Burnet!
I liked what I saw on the link you posted from SnusMe. I ordered and they shipped really quickly…but according to tracking it's being held for duty and fees. Two questions, you ever experienced this? And how do you order, ship via FedEx? And how long does it take to get your order? For reference, my timeline is ordered 26MAR, arrived in the states 1APR, but still haven't seen it in OKC. Any advice will be helpful. Thanks much!

Yea use FedEx. I usually get my shipment in 7 to 10 days. Never had any issues in clearing customs. Every order and I've made a lot of orders they always clear customs fairly quick.

Melatonin will help you fall asleep, but not keep you asleep. Also, stop taking Melatonin, it messes with your hormones.

About an hour before bed, take a Magnezium Threonate & and an L-Theanine. These do not make you drowsy in and of themselves, but I promise you, once you are asleep you will stay asleep.

Been doing On pouches for probably 5 years. At this point I've got such a tolerance to nic the only time I really enjoy it is the first thing in the morning. I'd like to get to the point where I only do it when I want but I know that's a fools thinking. Tired of it tearing up my gums. If I'm watching it I can get by on 5 pouches a day but if not it more like triple that. I buy it online so it's not expensive enough to make me quit financially

A year ago I quit for 4 days and it wasn't that bad. But then said why am I torturing myself and threw one in. Best choice is not to start initially.

I dipped Copenhagen for 20+ years. I quit when my son was a baby. He's 19 years old now. I've had 2 dips in those 19 years and didn't enjoy either one of them.

I started on Zyn & Grizzly nicotine pouches about 2 years ago. Got into them pretty heavy. I decided to quit them for my New Year's resolution. Ended up quitting before Christmas because I ran out and figured it was time to get it done. I do miss it.

Tabacco was ruling my life almost 20 years ago! Totally quit one day. Just have to do it and be strong. I see people doing it and I still want it till this day. I know it would make me sick LOL but the craving is still here so just be prepared for that.

I was guiding hunts when I quit Copenhagen. When a hunter would pull out a can of dip, my mouth would water like a dog looking at a steak.

Anyone tried any of the nutropic/alternative pouches? I had zero symptoms when I quit (only did two or three 3mg pouches per day), but I do miss the habit.

I'm 2 weeks off the nic pouches. Had a few days early on where I was an ******* but not overall horrible. Been experiencing heartburn lately and never had that before. I know it's for the best but I'm still not sold.

It was December of '85 or '86. I'd been dipping or chewing since I was probably 12. I'd developed a sore in my mouth that wouldn't heal, and at about the same time read a story in Readers Digest about a kid who lost his lower jaw to cancer…and it had all started with a stubborn sore in his mouth. I had a nearly new can that I emptied out onto the ground after looking up and saying, "Lord, if you'll make this go away, I'll never touch this stuff again." I hate thinking I'd put Him to the test but I guess I did. Still, He kept up His end and so will I. Been about 40 years now.

When my dad quit smoking, he carried a pack of cigs with him for over a year. His reasoning was that if he didn't have any, he was just out at the time, but if he had them available and chose not to smoke, he had truly quit.

May 16, 2025 bought my last can of Copenhagen Snuff…. was at 2 cans a day, had been dipping for 24 years. That sealed can still sits in the door pocket of my truck. It was that day I made the conscious decision to stop. It's tough but the pouches and things are crutches. put it down and walk away. get some chewing gun and make a better life for yourself.

Nicotine is awful.
My dad started smoking Camel unfiltereds at 13 and switched to Marlboro Reds at 28 to be healthier when my mom was pregnant with me.
At 44, my dad had stage 3 eso****eal cancer. He was in ICU on oxygen for a week and offered a nurse $1000 for a pack of smokes. He was at 5 packs a day at the time.
Eventually he got down to 5 cigarettes a day, but he could never overcome his addiction.
Dead at 68 with cancer throughout his body. Miss him a lot.

I know way too many young guys that are addicted to nicotine pouches. Many of them never really dipped.

Thing about nicotine is you're off the nicotine in about 5 days. After that it's all psychological with the delivery system.

To the poster that bumped this, keep it up!
OP, how you doing?

I think i am 3 years since I last dipped. What has saved me more than anything is the Jack Links shredded jerky in a can. I used that a year or so and now make my own. Takes the place of a pinch and not harmful to my health

I quit Copenhagen (dipped for prolly 10 years) by chewing red man or beechnut. Chewing tobacco is not as strong as cope. Then I just chewed occasionally. Then just quit it all together. It still sucks, though, I remember dreaming about dipping in my sleep.

See that's the thing. The physical part hasn't been bad at all. For me it's the psychological part. Not having a pouch after a meal, with a beer, when something stressful happens etc.

16 days in I'm sticking with it for now. I was a heavy user 10-15 8mg a day. Went cold turkey.

I quit cigarettes shortly after my first kid was born. Just made the decision and walked myself down. I don't miss it. 35 years later, I'm still breathing so I'll take that W and a double W for being around to attend that kid's Navy officer commissioning ceremony last year.

I smoked for 11 years. About a pack a day on average. My wife and I both did. She got the flu in 2012 and never smoked again. I smoked for one more week and joined her. Hardest part was the drive in to work, not having one. Was worse when I had a beer in my hand. To replace the cigs, I'd pop in a wintergreen Life Savers. Instead of taking a cig break at work, I'd drink one of those tiny cans of Spicy Hot V8. Next thing I knew, I craved the replacements instead of the cigs. They still sound good on occasion but have zero desire to start back. Doesn't help that they're $10 a pack these days.
