Time for my annual Texas Brigades application post. Texas Brigades is a youth camp for high school age youth, with a focus on land and water stewardship and conservation. It is a very impactful experience, developing leadership skills and instilling a strong conservation/stewardship ethic. If you know of any high school age kid that is interested in outdoor things, encourage them to read through the website and apply if they are interested. https://www.texasbrigades.org/applications

Also, if you are interested as an adult you can volunteer. Each camp needs 4-6 adult volunteers that go through the camp with the kids. It is a great opportunity to learn alongside the kids, and will be an extremely rewarding experience.

Kids and adults do not need to have any past experience with the subject matter to have a great time and learn a lot. The environment that is created at camp facilitates anyone being new to a subject matter and learning a substantial amount of knowledge in 5 days.

Applications deadline is March 15th

This year we are also trying to have a waterfowl camp in North Dakota. I know a lot of y'all travel up North to hunt up in the plains, so please share it with your outfitters and guides up in the northern Great Plains.
