Does anyone have any recommendations for a training collar for dogs. I bought some from Amazon last year and they worked for about 3 months then were worthless.

For just general dog training or gun dog? I run a garmin pro 550 for my lab(s) but that's for duck hunting and training.

We use a dogtra 1900s and the thing has been solid. Used for training and we barely shock him except for reinforcement. We walk off leash

I've got a set of Tri Tronics (now Garmin 550) collars, charger, and remote that I don't need anymore. Are you anywhere near New Braunfels or Corpus?

Garmin TT15 or TT15 mini with a Pro 550+ handheld. Can track and train on 3 dogs at once. Also pairs with Garmin watches to be able to track dogs without holding your handheld. You still need to carry it in a pocket but you can check their distance at a glance while hunting by just looking g at your wrist. It's nice.

Have a Dogtra for our Bullmastiff. Not sure what model, but it works well.

I have a Dogtra that is going on 6 years of daily abuse by a very active Dog. If you're just looking for a recall and corrective collar, they are very hard to beat.
