Somewhat related. I think my next saw purchase will be a pole saw, preferably battery powered. Stihl HYA 86 looks like it checks all the boxes, but $870 including battery and charger seems steep. I'm a DeWalt guy when it comes to battery powered tools, so for any other non-Stihl electric option, I would prefer to stick with the same battery family. HD has some DeWalts for MUCH cheaper. I'm talking less than $200 for the pole saw (no battery included). Has anybody had experience with either of these? I'm guessing you get what you pay for.

The dewalt pole saw is amazing! We use it a bunch at the deer lease.

Yes I've had the dewalt 20v pole saw for several years. Very happy. It gets pretty unwieldy with the extension added. Still usable at the max length but it takes some practice to manage it.

I cannot recommend one fast enough.,

I have the cheap Ryobi battery pole chain saw. Not problems yet. probably 30 hours of use. Very safe because the trigger stops the chain quickly

It is a game changer for clearing roads (obviously), and for cutting yaupon (not obvious). you can reach under them and get the stem area.

I want another one.
