Ok boys and girls, I had a 40' container custom built into a deer camp bunkhouse. It's fully insulated (walls and ceilings), pine walls and ceiling, 40 gal elec HW heater, shower, toilet, built in queen/twin bunks and one window. I've used it the last 2 years and it is very comfortable. I use a window unit for AC. I paid $24k, plus sales tax and $2000 shipping. It is in Encinal, I am asking $20k.

Very cool setup. I'm thinking about something similar when I hopefully get a place in the near future. Question for you: is that a portable black water tank? I've been trying to figure out how to get around not putting in a septic tank the first year or two so I can focus on water and electricity.

Yes I've used a RV portable septic tank with ease…
To the left of the HW tank is the shower insert

Pretty sure that is the back side of the shower insert.

figured that was what is was, but it's rounded and the shower wall looks flat.

I was just curious, plus I know DVM only sells legit good stuff.

Is the sombrero included in that price?

Also, that vanity mirror is a classic redneck device.

Is this powered by a 50amp connection via that box?

A friend of mine had one of these container cabins, I think they bought it from XCaliber Containers and it was one of the 53 ft ones. It was really cool, he was worried it would feel like just another version of a travel trailer, but that is not the case. Besides being long and thin, it felt like a house. Very stable and solid, it was a great option for his hunting area. He had the deck on top as well, and that was a really nice option.

Good luck selling it, whoever buys it will be impressed

No, I had an electrician come and hook it up to the power at camp, it had its own breaker that I would switch on when I was at camp and turn it off when I was not in camp.

And yes, these are very comfortable cabins and can be upgraded easily as stated above.

Yep, friend has one and they are NICE. Cool off well in the summer with a single wall AC unit and they seal up tight to keep mother nature out.

I think the tank holds 18 gallons, fortunately I tend to have the urge after my morning coffee, which means I poop in the woods way more often than that toilet. I only had to dump it one time this season. AC you must have an issue after Mexican Food if you can fill that one up in one "sitting"!

If you've ever hunted with DVM, he speaks the truth. And his "brush excursions" tend tend to draw out the deer. Uncanny.
