Once I get my bull elk back, which should be any day now based on my last discussion, I'll have zero room for new mounts…. So that next mount is going to cost me a new house unless it's a quail or something tiny.

Maybe one day I'll have japantigers setup and space will be of no issue, but that's not happening anytime soon.

Trying my first attempt at sharing some photos. This is a chocolate that we got on our old place few years back before we moved.
The white guy is one that we found poached about two hours after hearing a shot.

Couple of old pics by one of our feeders. The spotted guy is in full rut and he has peed all over himself by the dark urine stains on his belly, neck and shoulder. . When they get like this you can smell them in the brush….

Here's mine from a few months ago, my first. Gorgeous. From Wendy Lou north of Waco, great place. They taste similar to whitetail, not as good as axis but very edible. I opted for euro and I'm getting a rug made from the white hide.

Mike Odell is good people!

Wendy Lou bought a few of our neighbors places and put up their high fence on our north fence line.
It was weird hunting our low fence and seeing those red stag, gemsbock, and all of those exotics grazing just a stones throw away.

What was interesting was hunting and praying to see a 150-160" whitetail on our side and all the while watching numerous 200+ casually walking the fence line. I swear a few stuck out their tongue at me!

Glad to see they are still rockin' out there! Sold the place back in 2012 to get a place closer to home and regretted it ever since. Other than being 30 mins door to door vs. 2.5 hrs.... east Texas loses out in every category!

Agree, Mike Odell is awesome. I did one of the last hunts he'll ever do. His knees are junk and he's 74 I think and he told me this was his last season to hunt. He still hiked miles per day with me. One of the reasons I love that place is because it's my kind of hunting - on foot using skills, no feeders.
