Well my wife decided she likes really kinky play time now. There's some really amazing handmade leather stuff out there if you know where to look. So after building a new gaming table earlier in the year I'm now going to build a 4-post bondage bed this month as well as build a better mattress (yes - diy mattress!). Oh the things we do for our women!

What an interesting hobby to share with the OB. Glad you and your wife are happy but please don't share the photos of yourself in your gimp outfit. Do you have a safe word to tell her when she gets too rough?

Make sure she knows your safe word "orange" is the fruit, not the color.

Yea I have on level sophomores and juniors at our 5a high school which is more country than urban. The only thing I could see myself do is go to A University. Don't want anything younger than HS for sure. My son is in 7th grade and while I tolerate him his friends drive me bananas. My daughter and her friends did to at that age. No thanks.

High school is just fine. I'm actually at the high school one town over from where my wife teaches and kids do/will go. Yes their biggest rival. But I wanted to give them, especially my kids, some space.

Let's see:

- Had our second baby boy.
- Self contracted a new house on 10 acres about 30 min from CS.

Between those two and a demanding job, that was all I had time for.

The things I want to get into/back into once things settle and the boys get a little older:

- Back into tournament paintball.
- Back into competitive shooting (two gun, USPSA, start long range).
- Back into hiking/camping/fishing.
- Get more serious about whitetail hunting.
- Get back in shape. Fell off the wagon in '20 when my gym closed for covid. Have made a few half-ass attempts since. I'll have room in my new garage for a rack and workout area.

Walking. I went for a bunch of walks this year to supplement my 3x weekly gym routine. Some walks have been for hours with my wife, some for only 30 minutes with my dog. I walk at least a couple miles most days before work nowadays. I've dropped 25 pounds on the year, too.

Have really gotten into wood turning this year. Turned the spindles on an old rocker i was rebuilding for my niece. Looking to start figuring out bowl turning next. Youtube and the guys at the rockler store have made getting into this fairly seamless.

I found all the weight you guys were losing. Started shooting pistols more frequently and have gotten better at trading pistols than shooting them.

My goal for 2024 was to learn to fly fish and I feel like I did OK for year one.

I finally got over the fear of the unknown and got my back fixed. After 25 years of terrible pain, I had triple level fusion in my lower spine and am actually enjoying life again. It is good to enjoy the outdoors without numbness and pain again. 2024 was good.

Started jogging during covid. Have been keeping up with that but got into lifting this year. Never felt comfortable with a program/split or good foundational technique, so always put it off and made excuses. Got tired of being skinny fat so I meet up with a retired aTm strength coach twice a week at 6AM to lift. We are on a total body split right now and I lift on my own on Saturdays. Plugged in to some great you tube channels that are helping expand my knowledge. AthleanX is probably my favorite.

I've always been a hard gainer and too skinny, so I'm pretty fired up about getting some definition and putting on some healthy weight. Trainer is helping me with my diet and starting to see some progress.

My wife and I signed up for a year long training program through our church. It's a mini version of seminary (not for credit/degree) with reading, lectures, small group work, and homework. It's been great deepening our relationship together and w the Lord. We had our 25th wedding anniversary this summer and took a week and went to Europe just the two of us.

Kids are 13 and 10 and we are in full court press parenting mode for teens and pre teens in the digital age. Every day is an adventure and it's been quite the ride this year.

Continued my salt water fly addiction. Taking fly casting lessons from an expert fly caster. Fished the keys for the first time and headed back in May. Bought a poling skiff w my fishing partner last year and am just now getting comfortable launching and loading on my own and running the boat safely to about half a dozen spots. Looking forward to expanding that knowledge this next year. Had the best week of redfishing on the fly I've ever had in Texas about 3 weeks ago and it was all DIY. We happened to be there when the water finally fell out and we crushed them on the middle coast.

Next year is going to be a different year. Turned in my notice to my boss yesterday because i will be taking a role in a new industry doing something I have never done before. Bigger role, fancy title, a little more money but most importantly I will be home every night. My girls are excited about that part, and I am about being there to watch them grow up.

That's huge getting to be home with family more. Congrats, very happy for you. No homo.

Started rucking. I'm a fatass and I love it. I can carry heavy stuff long distances. Currently rucking 50 lbs at least 2 miles several times each week. Great outdoor exercise.

I had a tough year. I was down 45 lbs by March from hard work exercising and eating right. Work got so stressful with 16 hour days at times, I lost the ability to adequately prep good food, and started eating crap again and felt no time to exercise. Kinda bummed. I was sure enjoying being slimmer and my knees and back loved it too. I am gonna start back in, soon.
