Good deal but keep it mind most of the cost now on these tools are the batteries. If you're doing big projects, you'll want the 4 or 5 ah batteries. Having more batteries and more chargers than you think you would need is always best

Well said. I can't speak for the other brands because I use Dewalt, but unbranded batteries for Dewalt tools are on Amazon for about 1/3 of the price of Dewalt branded batteries. The factory in China does a run of branded product during 1st shift, then once the factory closes, they make a run of unbranded and sell them at 1/3 the cost. God bless America, (I think), haha. I've been buying the off branded batteries for a while now and have had good results.

Garmin Inreach Mini 2 is at $300 right now. Usually gets down here this time of the year and will probably hold until end of the month. I don't think it goes much lower normally, and I don't think they're gearing up for a clearance in prep for a version 3

Just got a text from First Lite for their deal. Most things 30% off which is as low as things normally go. 40% off is usually clearance stuff.

Just a fyi, the ryobi buy two batteries get a tool free deal is running again. But, this year one of the batteries is smaller than the other. Last year both were 4ah. This year, 1 four and 1 2ah.

or just buy a Ridgid and get free replacement batteries for life....

Ridgid makes good tools (I have and use some), they just don't seem have the number of offerings that Dewalt has and they are only sold at Home Depot (along with Ryobi) so if you're in a pinch and can only get to a Lowes, you're SOL. I'm not trying to turn this into a tool measuring contest because those conversations will last forever, but if you've got a deal, post it!

Does anybody have good experiences with a specific "digiscoping adapter" or "phone scope adapter"?

For those that aren't familiar these adapters allow you to attach your phone camera to binoculars or spotting scopes.

Just with PhoneSkope. Works pretty well but it's expensive.

I bought one and I was really excited about it... but most of the ones I have found do not fit new phones. With the multiple lenses on the phones now I haven't been able to find one that would cover all of them. Anyone find one that will work on the new Iphone or Samsung?

ETA: It was a cheaper one off on Amazon. I will look into the PhoneSkope

I also have PhoneSkope. Works well on my spotting scope. Just make sure you order the right kit for whatever you plan to use it on.

This. It's extremely specific to your phone and to your optics. Biggest drawback is that every time you upgrade phone you have to get new case

Yep, I've had one in the past, but just didn't really care for it. I remember there being some confusion with ordering the correct size for my SLC 10x42s, and even after connecting with their customer service team, the product they sent just never really performed as I had expected, so I was hoping for a few different recommendations. Glad yall's are working though!

The biggest PITA is when they came out with more than one camera lense on the camera. You have to go into the app to manually control the lense that aligns with the scope/binos. That part sucks.

I highly recommend Ollin over Phoneskope (I've used Phoneskope for the last decade). Much easier to align. I finally bought Ollin since I just upgraded to iPhone 16. They offer 20% off for Black Friday.

Not that I know of. I quit shopping spotters once I traded a rifle for a Swaro ATX. I will say if you are a minimalist spotting scope user like me, the new Swaro STC is freaking sweet. Some of my buddies had them on our elk hunt this year.

I'd keep an eye on S&S Archery for a black friday sale. They have a good supply of Kowa spotters that you might find a good deal on. The Kowas compete well with Swaro in the spotter game.
