My in laws trashy neighbors have 6-8 outside cats they feed. Fleas all over the inlaws yard and now in the house. She's 86 and getting bit.

Trapping today if anyone wants one and I don't get shot by neighbor.

Put this down in the yard. More cats will just fill the vacuum created drawn in from the free food.

The cat lady next door picks them up and brings them home. Hoping to get 5 or 6 ahead of her for a while.

I go to pick up a cat this morning and there is a pit mix sitting in her garage, no collar. He was friendly enough but wasn't interested in leaving the property because lots of cat food out next door. Owner is across the street who lets the dog out when he goes to work. The guy was mauled by a pack of dogs last year. Some people. Wife called him and said keep the dog in the yard etc. nicely.

It's a feral cat and dog rodeo over there. It's going to be nextdoor message board worthy. It's a suburb of Houston, I know the Mayor and animal control also on the way. Stay tuned………….

Free barn cats if you need one.

Permethrin may help with the fleas but be careful, it is toxic to felines.

The brother-in-law had it exterminated and the yard sprayed. I'm not sure what they use, but I'll find out.

Seems I've almost eliminated the colony. Slowing way down. My trap line running dry.

I've seen the City out looking as well. I assume they have caught some as well. Mean ass cats!

Now I have to trap the mangy neighborhood dog that won't leave the old folks alone.

Good. For those advocating for killing them, at least do it humanely if you choose to do that. Poisoning with stuff like rat poison or antifreeze is often a slow and very painful death.

No need to go middle of nowhere, plenty of coyote in the city if you know where to go.

No need to go middle of nowhere, plenty of coyote in the city if you know where to go.

Apparently I'm far enough out that people consider it the middle of nowhere. I'm tired of the strays being dropped off. They wander to the nearest house looking for handouts.

Most recently it was a batch of kittens dropped off down our road where the car must've just been driving and dropping them out the window, the one by our house had road rash. (Wife and the youngest camper decided to adopt that one.) Son saw another one clearly from the same litter down the road but it scooted into the woods when he drove by.

Take 'em to the shelter or something. We don't want them causing headaches for us.

I'm a bird lover. Unfortunately the cats are feral and invasive. Also a pain in the ass to the old folks. I'm down to 1 or 2. I'll have them all soon and ready for the next batch.

I don't drop in the country, and I damn sure don't drop off at a shelter that advertises for cat colony managers.

Being so rural we get dog and cat dump offs all the time.
We can usually find homes with a little effort or we take to a no kill shelter.
I have two cats that we found on the county road as kittens and they are now grown and live in my shop and barns. We had both neutered. I would not take any money for them for the number of mice, snakes etc they kill.
No way I would be so indescriminant or cruel to put poison or anti freeze with cat food out.
Don't want them? That's cool. Trap them and drown them or shoot them or whatever. But not a slow crappy way…. That's just sick.
