Morning! Has anyone created their own mounts or do you typically get someone else to help? OR do you just hang it?

I kind of wanted to do something different but might not be the best option right now too.

TIA

I have one that sits on a pedestal on my safe that looks awesome. The pedestal is octagonal and approximately 8" tall, I think Axis look better on pedestals vs the wall. Lots of options on wood/materials for a pedestal, the trick is weight and balance.

Nice axis! Glad they painted the nose the right color too!

I have never created my own pedestal for a mount, despite having about 6-7 pedestal (wall) mounts. I like the idea and maybe someone on here will have a good idea for one.

I've done 2 myself. Wanted mine to sit on floor in my office. I built an18"x18" base. Took an old cedar fence post and cut if flush on end. Drilled hole through base and ran an 8" lag screw through base into post. Filled base with rocks for weight and a natural look. Drilled two holes through post and ran two 6" lag screws through post into back of the wall pedestal mount. Have no idea how to post pics.
