Longtime lurker here, don't post too much, but wanted to share!
We've been stationed in Kansas for the last two years, but I didn't get to hunt last season because of school.
This season was a great one! I smacked a doe the first weekend of archery and today I killed the nicest buck I have ever had the opportunity to.
Bucks are chasin hard in Kansas and this guy came in to 18 yards on a drizzly afternoon. I hit him broadside and went through and through. Had a bit of anxiety because we couldn't find much blood, but managed to find enough drops to take us 200 yards or so down the creek where we found tons of blood and this guy. Very thankful!
