Need to get a robot vacuum. 3 cats (2 long haired) necessitate this.

Best out there? I don't mind spending $$ if it is worth it. Want one that self-empties and is very good sucking up per hair.

i have a shark matrix. You can set it on the schedule and have it take care of cleaning right before you get home. It will empty itself and has a few diff "suck" powers as it cleans. the app is nice and helps out a little bit.

I got a roomba recently and it's shocking how much it can pick up. Has an app you can set schedule and pick areas you want it to vacuum.

I've got a Roborock. When it works it's friggin awesome. Problem is it frequently disconnects from WiFi and requires a reset and reconnect. Gets old

I have a Roborock Q7 Max and it did that a few times the first month. Not sure if there was an update or something but it hasn't done it again in the last 6 months. Mine works great as long as I make sure my kids don't leave charger cables or socks on the floor. There are a ton of different models and the versions that got updated can frequently be had for cheap on Amazon.

I got a Roomba S9+ when it was on clearance. My 100# dog seems to shed his body weight every week. I run the Roomba 5 times per week and vacuum on one of the other 2 days. The Roomba is awesome. I used to think they were stupid, now I won't live without it.

One thing I didn't realize when I purchased is all of the wearable components. It's not like a regular vacuum where you buy it and maybe change bags or a filter.

I have bought 4 robot vacuums the past 10 years. they don't last that long but are worth every penny.

my first was an irobot and it broke within a year.

the Chinese eufy are great value and are quiet, but don't pick up as much as competitors.

I had an off brand one that was marked down from BB&B and it was loud but had great sucktion.

currently have a shark combo that ops floors also and its perfect. if you wait a few more weeks you'll find big discounts for the holiday season.

My Roomba works great on hard floors, but is terrible for pet hair on the rug. No experience with carpet.

We have a Neato. Cant remeber model, but it picks up a ton of animal hair

Yeah, at this point, I don't care about cheap, I just care about effective.

We have had a Roomba for years and it handles three indoor dogs without any issues. Also have the mopping one that runs after the vacuum.

Apparently you haven't explained household responsibilities to your wife!
