Recently traded my P365 in on an X Macro. Discovered afterwards I could've just kept the FCU and built what I wanted from aftermarket parts.

I like the new gun overall, but still want to make some improvements (better trigger, extended safety, at some point, an aluminum grip module). Are there any brands y'all would recommend or brands to stay away from?

I'm looking at Armory Craft for the trigger and safety, but have seen some from other companies that look interesting and was hoping someone here has some experience with the platform.

Following. Curious. Need to spend more time with mine to see if I can outshoot my glocks, used to the grip angle on initial point.

I will make suggestions based off the experience I have -

For triggers, look at Tactical Triggers - Link; or Gray Guns - Link

Safety - Armory Craft like you have mentioned, or Tyrant CNC - Link

For Aluminum grip modules, there are really only a couple I would look at - Mischief Machine being number 1 - Link; then Shalo Tek - Link; or Icarus Precision - Link

Appreciate it. I had been looking at a Sharps Bros grip module, but the Shalotek caught my interest. For as much as the Icarus runs, I'd want to hold one first to make sure. Haven't looked into Mischief Machine yet.

This is my EDC, so I'm not looking to go overboard with it.

I am thinking (provided I can get my wife on board with the expenditure) about getting a FCU from Sig and building assembling a complete pistol around as recreational project at some point in the future and really like the 365 as a platform.

The first thing I plan to do though is upgrade that tiny ass thumb safety.

I'm a 1911 guy and just don't care for Glocks, though I get why others like them.

Mischief Machine was one of the first to make an aluminum option several years ago, and in my opinion it remains one of the best looking available. And I like that you can swap grip panels on it. A lot of the others just look gimmicky, in my opinion, like the Icarus one.

I haven't shot mine too much BUT are there two versions of the x macro? Mine doesn't have a safety…

When I've shot it though I love it. The capacity for size is fantastic. Due to my job I can't carry daily but I would if I could.

They're all modular with interchangeable parts. You can get a Macro with or without a safety. You can add or remove the safety. Sig Guy even sells a rig to convert a non-safety grip module to take a safety. Sig also makes one with a compensated slide.

I've only put 50 rounds through mine so far. The first 10 were in the black, but all over the map. Minor adjustment to the grip and trigger finger (first time shooting a flat trigger) and put the next 40 in the 9 or X ring at 25 feet. It's a great shooting gun, just needs a few minor improvements.

Also like the Macro because 17 + 1 >>>> 12 + 1.

I would like to hold an Icarus just to see how it fits my hand. I ended up putting the largest backstrap on mine and while it feels good, I wouldn't mind something that fills the palm a little more.

Radian making a grip module now might be worth checking out. I have other products of theirs and have been impressed.

backstrap / magwell sorry.

Wilson Combat seems to have a nice grip module also.

Only problem is they don't make one for the Macro with a safety cutout. Otherwise I'd have probably already ordered one.
