So I have this "friend" that hunts 1000 acres and they have a neighbor with a less than 10 acre sliver of property bordering 3 sides of the 1000 acres. That neighbor puts 4 box blinds in the fence line including 3 looking at your food plot. Will not answer to reason or discussion. What would you do? One blind would be unavoidable but 4 that's just ******* behavior

Funny you post this. I just had our neighbor place a tree stand right on our fence line. His game camera is on a t-post about ten feet from our fence but is pointing to our land. We also found he has a yellow brick road of corn spread all the way down our fence lineā€¦.on his side of course.
I am at a loss what to do. The old man who owns the property and I are good friends. I was told by his wife that they let their grandson hunt there. They have 38 acres.
Will follow your thread.

Put up cameras. Lawyer up.

1. Cease & Desist letter
2. Lawsuit for injunction and seek attorney fees.

1.) shoot hog
2.) place hog in offending blind at end of hunting season
3.) slit hog open
4.)?????
5.) blind gets moved/trashed

Sounds like we are dealing with a similar scumbag. I suggested putting out hog baits or a target rifle range. Both would likely temporarily scare the deer away.

I have met the grandson. Not a bad kid. My first action is going to be to talk with the grandad. Hope I can work it out.

Set up box stands directly across the fence from their stands. Right on the fence line, that way they're just sitting there staring at each other.

Step 1. Plant 10 Pecan trees along the fenceline. It's ok, you can start from seed. No need to rush.
Step 2. Set up your propane cannon to keep the crows away.

Crows like to feed in the morning & afternoons, so I recommend the schedule propane blasts at 15 minute intervals starting at 6:00 AM-11:00 AM and 4:00 PM-Dark.

That fenceline seems like the perfect place to store round bails

High fence
This is what I had to do on one side of my place. The last straw was when I videoed them riding the fenceline on a polaris throwing corn on my side.

That property is so skinny you have to ride a bicycle not to trespass.

I would tell them one stand and not on the fence. If they don't listen then you can high fence it. Doubt they would risk it but people are stupid.

step 1: buy a deer decoy and pulley system..

step 2: hollow out the cavity of the decoy and fill with tannerite

step 3: set up pulley system to move the deer along the property line on your side of the property

video it...

If fence is split or not on your property, put up a bunch of political sign metal frames with shiny tassels or ribbon hanging down. Deer will avoid it. Or put it on the fence if it is yours. Scares the deer.

Personally, I don't have a problem with it. Id rather have shots being fired down the fenceline than at it. It's all the same deer either way but people do take it as a personal insult.

My neighbor has his blind 500 yards from my blind. But his feeder is perfectly inline between the two. Setup makes me nervous every time I look at it.

Set up scarecrows by his blinds. Get a barber to save up his cut hair for a week. Hang mesh hair sacks from the scarecrows' crotches.

I mean the obvious solution is a propane cannon.

I guess I'm confused. The ten acres guy has blinds on his own property within the fence line of the property he owns but someone is sore because he's looking at the neighboring food plot while hunting ?id need to see the setup before assigning an outrage value.

1. Save up beer cans.
2. Out lots of small pebbles in beer cans.
3. Hang beer cans on your side of the fence close to fence line close to each other.
4. Hang up trail cameras on your side of the fence.
5. You know have noise makers to keep deer away. You also have tall camera to show if neighbors destroys your "red neck wind chimes".
6. If all fails, use propane cannon idea from above.
I know a lot about a little, and a little about a lot.

This. Property is only 100 yards wide. You see places like this on the road all the time with a small sliver cut out of a big ranch.

It is heavily wooded but clear cut shooting lanes in view of food plots and feeders on 1000 acre side. If there was one like this I would understand, but 4 blinds 25 yards from fence line is excessive. I am told he was all 4 blinds filled with buddies hunting the rut.

He has every right to do whatever he wants. 100 yards wide? Would you want him to clear a sendero 50 yards in full length???? Come awn now....

As long as he doesn't shoot over the fence.....or trespass to recover deer it is a non issue.

Propane cannon is just dumb.... if you do want him looking over the fence you could build a billboard blocking view. Otherwise this is just jealousy and spitefulness of 10 acre guy benefitting from 1000 acre habitat.

There will be deer that walk across his 100 yard wide stretch into and out of the 1000 acre. Always has.....always will.

Fence yours....or buy his.

It's the OB man.

Standard procedure - don't you dare tell me what I can and cannot do on my land!. But I will tell yu what you can do on your land!

Now, that being said - the blinds facing the food plot on the OP's side of the fence are definitely suspect, and I'd definitely keep an eye on that for poaching across the fence line. And if that happened, going nuclear is defintely an option.

But the idea that you (collective, not you you) think that somebody setting a blind up on their fenceline (it is theirs as well, that seems to get forgotten) on their side of the fence to hunt their land being somehow wrong is just stupid to me.

Using corn on their side of the fence and you being mad about it? Also dumb. They get to do what they get to do just as much as you do with food plots, spinners, protein feeders, etc. I get not particularly liking it, but it isn't illegal by any stretch. Both actions here are ultimately how high fences get built and the land gets chopped up into 20 acre deer prison cells.

It's not that there's one blind with in view. That wouldn't be a big deal. There are 3. And all 3 have clear cuts to allow them to see food plot. That's pretty suspect. The 4th blind is down the line.

4 blinds on 10 acres is a lot no matter how close they are to a neighbor.

It's not about can and a right.

1000 acre land owner could put a rifle range next to the 10 acre property and shoot all deer season. It's his right! But he won't because that's a dick head thing to do. Just like putting 4 blinds on a fence line is a ******** thing to do. Is it his right, yes, but it is also not very neighborly.
SGrem
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I've had 3 different tree stands to look at the same opening in bow range to account for the wind....

Maybe he builds custom blinds and sells them and those are his show models.

Just making the point.... easily to look over there and find fault. If he is keeping to his own side then have a whiskey with him. Is he complaining to all his crew that dagnabbit that 1000 acres is covered up with deer lease snobs....

First post said 4 blinds and 2 look at the food plot.
Seems the jealousy is expanding.....
