I do a bit of woodworking, and earlier this week I went to pick up a collection of hardwood a guy was selling on FB marketplace. Most of it was dimensional stuff and cutoffs, but also included were nine rifle stock blanks. They are pieces you can tell they will look beautiful whatever they are made into.

Two of them are labeled as Turkish walnut, five Circassian walnut, and two aren't marked and are some variety of walnut but I don't know enough to differentiate. All are 10/4 or thicker. I'm not interested in learning how to make stocks, and I'd like to get them to someone who could make something awesome. Any thoughts on pricing, or who I'd be looking to sell to? Custom rifle makers I guess?

Just curious - do you build custom rifles? Or do most folks looking to go that route bring the rifle maker the stock they want to use? I'm not really in that world at all, but it seems like the number of potential customers for something like this is quite small. I'm not even sure how to determine a fair price?

I think the red number on those stickers may be the original price. Good turkish walnut gun stock blanks are really expensive.

That would be pretty amazing considering what I paid for everything. I did find a somewhat local custom rifle maker who agreed to meet with me tomorrow and help me figure out what I've actually got.
