Today is the day. Waiting on the 9 year old twins to get up & we're headed to Independence for a nice 6pt and/or 9pt we have patterned. Good luck to all the young'ns this weekend!

Headed to Gus Engling tomorrow morning for a youth doe/spike hunt with my 8 year old boy!

We went with the all seasons feeders. Love it.

Son got his first buck this morning too!

Heading out when my boy gets out of school in a bit. Kind of sad this is my last early youth season, he will be too old next year. We haven't seen as much as usual in Robertson County but he told me last night he doesn't care, just hunting is fun. Feels good to hear that and feel like I have managed to teach him right on something.

My boy shot his biggest buck yet right at first light, very nice 8 point. We sat last night and saw way less action than normal, but this morning I think we saw half the deer in the county! We are in Robertson county and while it seems a bit early to me the bucks definitely seemed to be in the mood.

Daughter took a doe yesterday morning. Had to wait for 10 mins to let her clear for a shot. It was a young doe, i gave her the choice to shoot or wait for maybe an older one to walk out and she decided to take the shot.

Doe ran 20ish yards. My daughter was the one that found her in the tree line where she went in.

Hell of a day. Then i woke up this morning to see we beat the swamp tigger's ass down. Overall a great weekend.
