My 2.0 says "2.0" on the right side of the slide, that one appears to be an original shield. (Edit: the right end of the left side of the slide... would be visible in the pic)

Yes OP posted a picture of a gen 1 (1.0) Shield.

  • 2.0 has "2.0" stamped on slide as you mentioned
  • It also has more aggressive texturing on the grip similar to the full line of 2.0 M&P pistols
  • 2.0 has "M&P" stamping on grip. 1.0 has S&W stamping
  • 2.0 also has optic cut option (on some slides)

Still a great gun. But value might take a hit since it's not a newer "1.5" stack and a true single stack pistol.

Agree, it's great, i have both in 40. 2.0 trigger is way better too. I actually prefer the lighter stippling on the original.
