Anybody willing to weigh in on cost per foot of recent chain link fence installation?
Cemetery association in northern Grimes County is considering new fence installation and I am trying to help gather some data for our consideration.
If anyone has a installation person/company to recommend, that would be helpful as well.

Unfortunately, chain link fence prices can range from $17/ft to $35/ft. Chain link has so many factors to consider and options to choose from. There's a dozen different choices that need to be made to give an honest quote. Call Ace Fence in Bryan/College Station for a free estimate.

Foster Fence in Houston would be a good bid/resource for chain link or other possibilities. Josh should be helpful.

Very true. I just got a bid to replace 40' of an 8' 9-gauge industrial chain link section that a car ran through.

The price -- $60/foot.

Of course, in today's environment, all tradesmen expect to be paid like heart surgeons. You either DIY or you bend over -- pick one.

EDIT: To guys who own trades companies -- I'm exaggerating here for comic effect. I know it's expensive to send guys out in trucks these days.

$25.00/ft would be a safe budget for 4-5' tall standardized galvanized chain line if you have a few hundred feet. Smaller jobs will go up considerably due to the lack of scale.
Add $300 per gate or so.

Just had a new fence installed at one of our shops in Fort Worth. 8' 11ga, with double gate and razor wire for $35/foot.

You may joke, and you're right about the cost to send a tech and a truck anywhere. I took care of my mother's affairs after my dad died. My mom was perfectly capable of managing her finances, but she refused to ever write a check.

She suffered from compression fractures in her back. The surgeon would inject cement into the vertebra to hold them together after they fractured. The medicare portion of the doctor's reimbursement was less than what it cost to have a plumber come to the house for a clogged drain. 10-12 years ago, the surgeon got about $210 for the procedure.

Thanks for that info. May I ask how many total feet it was?

That is insanely low, especially with gate & razor wire.
Like "we're going out of business if we don't get some cash flow" type low.

Got two quotes. First one was $40 sq/ft. And not sure if it matters a whole lot but this fence was put onto existing concrete and the poles were bolted into existing concrete.
